Most people think about money as a short-term problem? Do you? — "If only I could make more money, I'd be okay!" "If I could just get a raise, all my problems would be solved!" "If I could win the lottery, I would be set for life!" Would you, though? — you know this is not true.
To build wealth you must think differently about money, you must treat money differently. You must think long term. I'll help you understand this to build your wealth.
In many cases, when working people start their own business, get a raise or find a better-paying job – or even win the lottery – it’s not long before they are in the same trouble they were in before, only now the debt is larger, the mortgage bigger and the problems harder to deal with. This is why so many people ride a "prosperity seesaw" and never manage to build the wealth they dream about.
Do you know someone who cannot build wealth? .... You, maybe?
Wealthy people consider money differently — we see money as a long-term asset, not a short-term problem.
Let us understand right away — You don't need a 7-day program or even a 30-day program. You need a Rest-of-Your-Life program!
You don't go to the gym, exercise for a week and believe you will be fit for the rest of your life — to be fit for the rest of your life you have to exercise for the rest of your life. You don’t shower in the morning and expect to be clean for the rest of your life — you have to shower every day. Building wealth is no different. You must treat money as an asset every day for the rest of your life. But, you know that.
In my book, "So, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?" I explain how I learned that there are no secrets to this question of building wealth. You already know how to become wealthy. You know how to be successful! But most people don't build wealth even though they know what to do!
To succeed, you must build on the principles you already know. This includes knowing why you want to achieve your goal to become wealthy. You must have a clear and powerful desire to carry you beyond the setbacks.
To tell you the truth, though, I don't believe desire is enough. I think desire is never as motivational as we expect. Making it a game and having fun is the answer. Because only having fun and enjoying the game is enough to make anyone want to do it every day – for the rest of their life!
What do you think?
